Bringing in Learn Create Share

Multiple ways to write: How do I bring this through my mahi?

One area that I noticed we could support with was utilising IT into our mahi.

Underlying this, as I mentioned earlier in another post, was using UDL as well as the Manaia Kalani kaupapa of LCS (Learn, Create, Share).

This is a tricky area for us because we have foundation skills to support, but I noticed after watching a lesson in Whaea Kate's room how we could support our tamariki using another platform with ipads and digital tech. I really had Marcel in mind because he struggles with fine motor skills. I think what has really been an added bonus is having a stylus because it is the right shape and weight, and helps Marcel further build his pen grip and letter formation. I am just building it around out big book at the moment and the letter of the week, but there are some cool templates for letter writing that can support Marcel. Added on top of this is the audio aspect, and so for writing he is adding his voice to story writing templates which is really important regarding oral language and his ability to share and communicate his experiences.

  1. I think you will like this lady https://www.facebook.com/occuplaytional. She has a good article on using smaller pencils suitable for our smaller hands.
